About

Aaron Ding leads the Cyber-Physical Intelligence Laboratory at Delft University of Technology, where he is a tenured Senior Associate Professor in the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. He is also an Adjunct Professor in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki.

His research focuses on interconnected intelligent systems, with particular emphasis on Edge AI, resilient networking systems, sustainable computing, and digital transformation. His work investigates how distributed computing and communication infrastructures can support trustworthy, efficient, and sustainable intelligent services in cyber-physical environments.

Aaron has extensive international research experience across Europe and the United States and has worked at institutions including the Technical University of Munich, the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, and ETH Zürich. He has led and participated in numerous European research initiatives and collaborates closely with academic and industrial partners.

He has contributed extensively to the edge computing, Internet of Things, networking, and distributed systems communities through research, academic leadership, editorial activities, and the organisation of international conferences and workshops.
