About
Marcela Tuler de Oliveira is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at TU Delft and co-director of the CPI Lab. Her research lies at the intersection of cybersecurity, distributed systems and digital governance.
Her work focuses on a central challenge in digital collaboration: how organisations can share and process sensitive data without losing control over how that data is accessed and used. She develops access-control mechanisms, policy-enforcement solutions and trustworthy distributed systems that translate organisational and regulatory requirements into enforceable system behaviour.
Marcela takes a systems-oriented approach, combining real-world requirements with system design, implementation and experimental validation. Her work spans healthcare, predictive maintenance, aviation, digital identity, supply chains and distributed artificial intelligence.
She supervises PhD candidates and Master’s students and collaborates closely with academic, public and industry partners. Marcela welcomes students interested in combining technical research with real-world challenges in cybersecurity, trustworthy artificial intelligence and secure data collaboration.
