Marcus Westberg is a researcher whose work focuses on trustworthy, explainable, and accountable artificial intelligence, with particular interest in how AI systems interact with human reasoning, values, and decision-making.
His research brings together artificial intelligence, cognitive science, philosophy, and socio-technical perspectives. He has worked on approaches for evaluating and improving the explainability of AI systems, including research on how concepts from cognitive science can inform the design and assessment of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI).
At CPI Lab, Marcus contributed to research on trustworthy AI within the EU Horizon 2020 SPATIAL project, where he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and project manager.
