About
Yago de R. dos Santos is a PhD researcher at Delft University of Technology and a member of the Cyber-Physical Intelligence Laboratory. His research focuses on trustworthy authorisation and data usage across organisational boundaries, investigating how access and usage control mechanisms can support secure and accountable collaboration in distributed digital environments.
His research interests include access and usage control, decentralised identity, Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), distributed systems, blockchain, and trustworthy data-sharing infrastructures. His work particularly investigates the combination of identity, authorisation, and usage-control mechanisms to establish and maintain trust throughout the data-sharing lifecycle.
Before joining TU Delft, he conducted research on decentralised access control and digital identity, exploring the use of distributed ledger technologies, Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), Verifiable Credentials, and Self-Sovereign Identity for trustworthy and auditable data-sharing systems.
His broader research interests lie at the intersection of distributed systems, cybersecurity, and cyber-physical systems, with particular emphasis on technologies that enable organisations to collaborate while retaining control over their data and digital resources.
